Stevioside extracted from Stevia rebaudiana has the characteristics of high sweetness and zero heat energy. It is especially suitable for people with obesity and diabetes, as well as people with heart disease and hypertension. Yili, known as the "Jiangnan beyond the Great Wall" in China, is the most suitable region for cultivating high-quality stevia due to its unique climate and soil conditions.

The establishment of the company has laid the foundation for promoting the high-quality development of the national stevia industry: it has achieved "localization" of stevia seedling cultivation, actively carried out seedling cultivation, and achieved success in 2022. Currently, a 500 acre seedling base has been built. The "large-scale" planting of stevia has been realized. Through the cooperation mode of "leading enterprises+banks+cooperatives+farmers", the planting scale has been continuously expanded. At present, the planting area of stevia in the whole county has reached 50000 mu, while driving the planting of 50000 mu in surrounding counties, cities and farms such as Khorgos City, Yining County, Gongliu County, Chabuchar County, etc. The localization of stevia production and processing has been achieved, and the company has developed the first complete set of stevia supporting production line equipment in China. Currently, two production lines have been built, using continuous countercurrent extraction, continuous separation technology, membrane separation and other technologies to fill the gap in continuous extraction of stevia in China. The company purchases 30000 tons of stevia annually and produces 2200 tons of stevia glycosides annually. The products are sold well throughout the country and exported to some European countries and the United States. The integration of production and sales of stevia has been achieved, with an expected annual output value of 400 million yuan and a tax revenue of over 25 million yuan.
